Questions and complaints
If you have an inquiry or complaint about the content of this site or about censorship in general, or the classification of a particular publication, please contact the Information Unit or free phone us on 0508 CENSOR (0508 236767). We will advise you of your options and, if necessary, refer you to the appropriate authority for action.
If you are concerned that someone could be breaking the law, the first step is to contact the Censorship Compliance Unit of the Department of Internal Affairs on 0800 257 887. They are responsible for enforcing the Films, Videos, and Publications Classification Act.
If you would like to comment on, or suggest an amendment to the Classification Act, you should contact your local Member of Parliament or the Minister of Justice. The Ministry of Justice administers the Act and is responsible for any changes to the legislation.

Privacy
When you visit this website, you do so anonymously. We do not collect personal information. We do log general information about how all visitors use our site, which is then presented to us in a statistical form.
